Drive out of Yangon to the ancient capital of Bago for a visit.

Transfer for lunch at a local Restaurant.

Next, drive through seemingly endless paddy fields to the small town of Kyaikhto known as Golden Rock and on to the 'base camp' of Kinpun.

After a transfer byopen truck (join-in system) up a rather bumpy track about nearly top to the mountain.

From here, walk up the path which climbs steeply to the legendary“Golden Rock”where you discover this exceptional pilgrimage site.

Weather permitting, admire the view from Mount Kyaiktiyo at sunset are stunning.

Dinner at hotel and overnight in Golden Rock.

After breakfast, walk down the mountain and return by truck down to the base camp at Kinpun, to your waiting vehicle.

Overland drive back to Yangon via Bago.

Transfer for lunch at a local Restaurant.

Then proceed to Shwethalyaung Buddha and Kyaik Pun Pahya.

An optional visit is included on the way back to Yangon at the British War Cemetery near HtaukKyan.
